Brock came out look at our chimney and fireplace. He was available early, so he called and offered to come out sooner. While he was looking at our fireplace/chimney, he talked us through the process so we knew EXACTLY what we were looking at- regardless of how good… or bad the information was. He was certainly very personable, so we never felt uncomfortable asking any questions that came to mind… A straight shooter that we would definitely recommend to anyone looking for chimney or fireplace work. An easy 5 out of 5 stars.

Very pleased with Master Services! Corey was very responsive and professional. They installed my Gas Logs a couple years back and have been on top of it to ensure annual inspections are completed. I have referred them to a couple of friends who were looking for the reflector shield which helps project heat into the room.

I called Masters Services after my chimney cap blew off in our recent high winds. I knew I needed something done soon because I started hearing birds in the chimney. Corey came out and did a camera inspection of my chimney today and he was great. He let me watch as he ran the camera through the chimney and he pointed out various places that had age-related mortar issues. Luckily, no bird nests though. He also inspected the exterior of my chimney and located other problem areas. More than anything, I was impressed with how he was patient and willing to answer all of my questions. That’s very important to me. He was also able to prioritize for me which issues needed to be fixed right now, and which ones could wait a while. I now feel confident that I know which services/repairs my chimney will need, especially since I saw the camera video and still photos that were provided. Thanks, Corey!

Population: In 2020, the estimated population of the city of Dallas was around 1.3 million. However, the Dallas-Fort Worth-Arlington metropolitan area (DFW Metroplex) had a population of over 7 million, making it one of the most populous metropolitan areas in the United States.

Number of Houses in Dallas: The number of houses in Dallas can change over time due to new construction and changes in the housing market. In 2020, there were over 600,000 housing units in Dallas, including single-family homes, apartments, and other types of residences.

Median Income: In 2020, the median household income in Dallas was around $50,000, according to data from the U.S. Census Bureau. However, please note that this figure can vary by neighborhood and demographic factors.

North Texas Growth: North Texas, including the Dallas-Fort Worth area, has experienced significant population and economic growth over the years. This growth is attributed to factors such as a strong job market, business-friendly policies, and a favorable quality of life. As of my last update, the region was known for its robust growth in various sectors, including technology, healthcare, and energy.

Chimney Sweep in Dallas: Chimney sweeps in Dallas, like in many other places, provide essential services for maintaining the safety and efficiency of your chimney and fireplace. They can help remove creosote buildup, debris, and blockages in the chimney, which can reduce the risk of chimney fires and carbon monoxide leaks. Regular chimney sweeps can also extend the lifespan of your fireplace and ensure it functions properly.

Benefits of Chimney Caps in Texas: Chimney caps offer several benefits in Texas and other regions:

  • Prevent Animal Entry: Chimney caps keep out birds, squirrels, raccoons, and other wildlife that might seek shelter in your chimney.
  • Rain and Debris Protection: They shield the chimney opening from rain, preventing water damage and blocking debris, leaves, and twigs from entering.
  • Spark Arrestor: Some chimney caps come with a spark arrestor, reducing the risk of sparks or embers escaping and potentially causing roof fires.
  • Prevent Downdrafts: Chimney caps can help minimize downdrafts, which can be a concern in windy conditions.

Texas Heat Causes Structural Issues: The extreme heat in Texas, especially during the summer months, can lead to structural issues in buildings. Here are a few reasons why:

    • Foundation Problems: The expansive clay soils in Texas can contract and expand with changes in moisture levels, causing foundation movement and cracks in the structure.
    • Roof and Attic Damage: Prolonged exposure to high temperatures can cause roof materials to deteriorate more quickly, leading to leaks and structural damage. Attics can become extremely hot, potentially affecting insulation and roof sheathing.
    • Concrete and Masonry Damage: Extreme heat can cause concrete to crack and masonry to deteriorate over time.
    • HVAC Strain: Air conditioning systems in Texas are often heavily used, which can strain HVAC systems and lead to maintenance or replacement needs.

Remodeling Fireplaces Reasons: There are several reasons to consider remodeling a fireplace:

  • Aesthetic Improvement: Remodeling can update the look and style of the fireplace, enhancing the overall aesthetics of the room.
  • Efficiency Upgrade: Modernizing a fireplace can make it more energy-efficient, reducing heat loss and improving heating efficiency.
  • Safety Enhancement: Older fireplaces may not meet current safety standards. Remodeling can add safety features such as heat shields and better chimney liners.
  • Functionality: You can modify the fireplace to serve a different purpose, such as converting it to a gas fireplace or adding a wood-burning insert for increased efficiency.
  • Increased Home Value: A well-executed fireplace remodel can increase the resale value of your home.
