Noise in Your Walls or Attic?

One of the most common complaints involving nuisance wildlife is the noise they can produce in a home. Many home owners may be unaware that they even have an unwanted visitor in their home if not for the noise. Certain animals may spend their time crawling around (and doing other things) in their newfound home (your attic, soffits, walls, garage, etc.).

The scurrying scratching, chewing, or vocal noise that you hear may be most unwelcome, particularly from nocturnal animals. The primary culprits are raccoons, squirrels, rats, and mice, but other creatures may be at work. Give us a call, and we will identify the source of the noise, as well the means by which the animals are entering the structure. Masters Services animal control can get the problem fixed, and you will sleep better at night!

    armadillo

    Armadillos

Armadillos are one of the hardest animals to trap because their food source is in the ground, not the trap. They do not come back to the same food source every night, so trapping can take weeks.

How We Got Started: Raccoon Removal in Dallas

Master Services Inc got into the wildlife removal Dallas business because of wildlife getting into chimneys and fireplaces. Chad Murray, founding Certified Chimney Professional of Masters, was called out on an animal in a fireplace. Upon inspection Chad had located a mother raccoon was nursing her litter of raccoon pups in the chimney.

    Family of raccoons in Chimney

A raccoon removal from the chimney was performed and the young were placed in a secured box in the back yard to have the mother raccoon come back to relocate the litter off the clients property. This mother raccoon decided she really liked the residence she had chosen and ripped her way into the attic.

The very next morning the client called to inform us that she was pretty sure mamma raccoon and her litter were now in the attic. Upon attic inspection the mother and her litter we easily found but Chad had never handled a mother raccoon in an open attic. Luckily Chad had researched Google to read up on Nuisance Wildlife Control Handler procedures for wildlife removal for raccoon. A trap was set, the mamma raccoon was trapped, and the pups were all relocated about 10 miles away assuring not to come back to the clients residence.

Master Services Inc decided to expand to Houston, Texas. Knowing that a seaport city would support a growing business for wildlife removal Chad partnered up with his childhood best friend, Brian McMahon.

Chad trained Brian to identify nuisance wildlife, trap and removal the nuisance animal, repair all the entries, and clean up and sanitize. As a company there was a point we sent some technicians to Nuisance Wildlife Removal training to learn a better way of successful wildlife removals. Master Services Inc learned how to do a quick turn around bat removal and rat removal. We also learned better exclusion repairs to keep out future nuisance wildlife.

Our wildlife removal service in Houston has done single family dwellings, multiple government facility buildings, commercial warehouses, to ship yard nuisance wildlife removals.

Master Services Inc is the best reviewed chimney and wildlife removal company in Texas, second to none.

Oftentimes, squirrels and racoons will leave clues such as chew marks on your deck, or holes in the external walls around your property. You may even notice bite marks on some of your outdoor wires. Another key indicator of animal infiltration is a trail of garbage in your yard. Racoons are the top offender of getting into outdoor garbage cans, and leaving trash on your deck or your yard. If you notice general upheaval in the outdoor areas of your home, you should call Masters Services to come take a look.

Another common sign of the need for critters control and wildlife removal is the appearance of your food garden. Squirrels and racoons in particular love to destroy, eat, and trample a good garden. If you notice that the fruit or vegetables that you have been growing have teeth marks in them, or that some of your crops have been turned upside down, your garden might be in need of wildlife control. If these signs are present, there is also a good chance that the animals are infesting your home as well. Take a look at your garden and then inspect your house for further evidence of critter invasion.

    3. Your Yard is Full of Upside Down Topsoil and Sod

Did you know that many skunks, raccoons, and squirrels eat insects as well as trash and fruit and vegetables? Many people are surprised to learn that these critters go on the hunt for insects as well as their more common prey. Animals such as these have acute hearing that allows them to tell if the ground is rich in worms and insects. If you are coming home and notice that there is upturned topsoil or sod in your backyard, you might have some visitors on your hands. This could also mean that skunks or raccoons are making their permanent den in your yard. Although this can be very frustrating, it does not mean that the problem cannot be solved. One of the most common is noticeable damage performed by pesky critters like raccoons, squirrels, opossum, or skunks. A way to tell if these critters have been making their way through your home is to look at the woodwork in your house as well as outside. If you notice bite marks on wood panels, or torn up insulation, or even bite marks on indoor or outdoor wires, you may need to hire Masters Services for some racoon removal, squirrel removal, or even rat removal. These pesky pests love to chew whatever they can, so it is best to call us for an inspection as the first sight of these signs. Actually, if you see a wild animal in your home or your backyard, it can be a bad sign that there are more to come. It does not happen often, but if you do see an animal in your kitchen, the chances are high that they have friends. If this happens to you, you should call Masters Services right away so we can get to work on rat removal, bat removal, skunk removal in your Dallas TX or Houston TX home.

    6. Your Home’s Lights Start Flickering or Going Out

If an unwelcome wild animal has made its home in your attic or garage, they may want to entertain themselves by gnawing on things in your house. One of the most common things that wild animals like to chew on is electrical wires. While sometimes this may kill the animal, it is more common that they cause an electrical malfunction in your house. Small appliances like lamps, toasters, or light sockets, can spark or lights can flicker or go out completely. If you notice this happening in your house, you may have some hidden house guests. Many people who encounter this type of problem do not instantly think that wildlife is the cause. They can start checking their home’s wiring or appliances for an apparent malfunction. An electrician may even be called to rectify the problem, only to encounter no problem at all. Think twice about electrical problems by digging deeper and looking for more presence of wildlife.

    7. Unpleasant and Strange Odors

If you are noticing strange odors in your home, it may be the cause of a wild animal’s waste. Animal waste like urine and feces have a very distinct odor that can penetrate through your entire home.
