The Importance of Regular Chimney Cleaning
Most people like to do things in the most simple way possible, meaning, if you have a fireplace go ahead and get a fire going. When something isn’t working right is normally when we think to get things looked at and fixed. This opens your home up to dangerous situations. Having a regular chimney cleaning schedule worked out is one of the best ways to not only prevent problems that arise from lack of cleaning but also to spot any issues before they become dangers and get them addressed and repaired.
What is the process for a chimney cleaning?
When our technicians get to your home they will first preform a full inspection on your chimney from top to bottom, this will show any areas that are in need of repair or replacement. Then we will lay down tarps and section off your firebox to prevent any of the creosote from spreading into your living areas and home. There is a HEPA filtered H-vac that will be running in your firebox to collect the soot as it falls. The technician will then send a chimney brush up your flue about an inch or two at a time knocking the build up from the sides of your flue. It is a pretty simple process if done correctly.
Guaranteed no mess cleaning!
This means that no matter when you get your chimney cleaned by Masters Services there will be no mess for you to clean up after. If you get it scheduled right before an important date or dinner, there is nothing that you will have to do when we leave to ensure that your home is clean.
An inspection is part of it.
With every cleaning we do, a chimney inspection is built into the pricing. This ensures that you always have an up-to-date and accurate assessment of your chimney and fireplace and know what is happening inside. This can prevent much more detailed and intensive repairs from needing to be done at a later time as well as keeping your home safe from potential fires.
